Albert Y. Chao

Albert Y. Chao, has over 30 years of international experience in the petrochemical industry.  He is currently the President of the Westlake Group, a position he assumed since 1996.  In 1985, he assisted Datuk T.T. Chao and Mr. James Chao in founding the Westlake Group, where he served as Executive Vice President until he succeeded Mr. James Chao as President.  He has held positions in the Controller's Group of Mobil Oil Corporation, in the Technical Department of Hercules Incorporated and in the Plastics Group of Gulf Oil Corporation.  He subsequently served as Assistant to the Chairman of China General Plastics Group and Deputy Managing Director of a plastics fabrication business in Singapore.  Mr. Albert Chao holds a Bachelor's Degree from Brandeis University and a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Columbia University.
