Dato' Sri Dr Haji Shafie bin Mohd Salleh

Dato' Sri Dr Haji Shafie bin Mohd Salleh was appointed to the Board on 7 November 2006. He is currently serving as a Member of the Parliament for the district of Kuala Langat, Selangor. Dato’ Sri Dr Haji Shafie received his Bachelors of Arts from University Malaya and then went on to pursue his Masters in Development Studies at the Western Michigan University in the US. He then completed his PhD in Development Studies at the University of Wales, Swansea. Dato’ Sri Dr Shafie’s career with the Government spans many years and he has held various key positions in the Malaysian cabinet including the post of Minister of Higher Education, Deputy Minister of Finance and the Parliamentary Secretary for the Ministry of Finance.
