James Y. Chao

James Y. Chao, was appointed Executive Chairman of Titan Chemicals in June 2003 having earlier served as its Managing Director from the time of its inception. Mr Chao has over 30 years of international experience in the chemical industry.  He served as a Special Assistant to the Chairman of China General Plastics Group and has held senior management positions with several international companies including Mattel Inc., Development Bank of Singapore, Singapore Gulf Plastics Pte. Ltd. and Gulf Oil Corporation.  Mr James Y. Chao, along with his brother, Mr Albert Y. Chao, assisted Datuk T.T. Chao in founding Westlake Group and served as its Group President from 1985 to 1996.  Mr. Chao is a member of the Board of Trustees for the Thunderbird Graduate School of Business.  He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Columbia University.
