| Feedstock Flexibility
Titan Chemicals crackers are generally designed to crack naphtha, and a blend of
naphtha and LPG. Titan Chemicals further enhanced its feedstock flexibility by
modifying its crackers to enable them to crack the full range of naphtha as
well as the heavier liquid feedstock such as gas-oil. Although this was
not part of the crackers' original design, Titan Chemicals has achieved
production levels at nameplate capacity using these feedstocks.
Titan Chemicals receiving terminals are designed to ensure maximum flexibility
in storing and delivering feedstock to its crackers. The
interconnecting pipelines between the tank farms and the crackers ensures a
consistent and reliable feedstock supply. Alternate
feedstock such as gas oil is stored and blended with naphtha in these tank
farms. Naphtha storage tanks can support 23 days of olefins operation. The
propylene and ethylene tanks can support 10 and 6 days of feedstock supply,
respectively to the polyolefin plants.
