Operational Flexibility

Titan Chemicals two crackers are designed back-to-back to optimize the sharing of infrastructure while allowing independent operation of each cracker. It also allows flexibility during turnarounds and reduces the potential impact on polyolefin production in the event of a scheduled or unscheduled outage of either cracker.

The polyolefin plants are also configured to provide flexibility and cost efficiency.  Titan Chemicals has five polyolefin plants that are able to produce the full range of PE and PP resins.

One of the PE plants is a Univation-licensed swing plant which accords flexibility between LLDPE or HDPE production based on market demand. The other 4 plants have dedicated PE and PP lines that allow longer product runs and reduce the volume of transition materials. As a result, Titan Chemicals volume of off-spec products is currently half the global industry average.
