Titan to change name to Titan Chemicals Corp. Bhd.
Titan Petrochemicals & Polymers Berhad (Titan Chemicals), Malaysia's first
and largest integrated producer of olefins and polyolefins and the second
largest polyolefins producer in Southeast Asia, today announced the change of
its corporate name to Titan Chemicals Corp. Bhd. Its main operating subsidiary,
Titan PP Polymers (M) Sdn Bhd will also change its name and be known as Titan
Petchem (M) Sdn. Bhd. In conjunction with the name change, Titan Chemicals
adopted a new corporate identity, including a new logo and visual identity.
Titan Chemicals is at the brink of exciting new developments as the recovery of
the petrochemicals industry gathers momentum. We have improved our
balance sheet, strengthened our financial performance, and are positioning
ourselves for future expansion and diversification. The name change is
intended to enhance our already strong Titan brand, as well as to more
succinctly describe the scope of Titan’s activities,” said Donald M. Condon Jr,
Managing Director of Titan Chemicals.
He further added, “Titan Chemicals has earned its reputation by consistently
executing quality, innovation, and breadth in its products. While our
company name is changing, all core elements of our organization will remain the
same. We will continue to provide our customers and partners with the same
level of superior service and product excellence they have experienced”.
The company has obtained approval from the Companies Commission of Malaysia and
its shareholders for these name changes, which are effective from 10 December
2004. All future business activities will be undertaken with the new
names.
