Titan Chemicals Files for Listing
Titan Chemicals today announced that it has submitted its initial public
offering proposal to the Securities Commission, the Ministry of International
Trade and Industry, and the Foreign Investment Committee, with intent to list
on the Main Board of the Bursa Malaysia.
Titan Chemicals was the first and is the largest integrated producer of olefins
and polyolefins in Malaysia, as well as the second largest polyolefins producer
in Southeast Asia.
“We are strongly considering listing during 2005, subject to prevailing market
conditions and obtaining required approvals. Titan Chemicals is an
established integrated petrochemicals producer with modern, state-of-the-art
facilities operating in the politically stable and growing Malaysian
market. We are also well positioned throughout the region, including
major markets like China, Vietnam, Bangladesh and the Middle East.” said Mr
Donald M. Condon, Jr., Managing Director of Titan Chemicals.
He added, “An initial public equity offering could provide opportunities for our
shareholders, employees, business partners and potential investors to
participate in the future growth and profits of Titan Chemicals.”
Commerce International Merchant Bankers is the financial adviser for the
proposed IPO, and together with Goldman Sachs are the Joint Global
Co-ordinators and Joint Book-runners. Additionally, Mayban Securities Berhad
and DBS Bank Ltd had also been appointed as Joint Book-runners for this
proposed exercise.
