MARKET-FOCUSED, PRODUCT AND PROCESS INNOVATION
Established in 2000 at a cost of several million US dollars Plastic Technical Centre (PTC) is Malaysia's largest technical centre for the polylefins industry, dedicated to product and process development and improvement. The centre, which is located at Titan Chemicals' Tanjung Langsat site, provides trouble-shooting services and crucial technical training to customers' employees. It also promotes the generation of innovative ideas through in-depth research and development.
PTC Team work closely with domestic customers to provide technical service and assistance. With close relationship to the technology licensors and with the technical support of the Daedeok Research Institute, Honam Petrochemical Corp, the PTC team develops new product grades to meet customers' specifications, provide training for customers' employees in product usage, and assists Titan Chemicals with the introduction of new production technologies.
The PTC is currently involved in a number of new product development initiatives, including high crystallinity PP, fractional flow grades of Homopolymer PP and Copolymers PP, blow molding grade of bimodal HDPE, MDPE Geomembrane and new generation of superb high clarity random copolymer PP
